Time: 8:30-11:00 PM
Place:Pixel Lounge (107 Dryden Rd. in College Town - www.pixelithaca.com)
Come and meet other Latino students from the Graduate School, the Johnson School and the Law School in a relaxed and social environment. Light appetizers will be provided. This event is co-sponsored by the Latino Graduate Student Coalition (LGSC) and the Latino Business Student Association at the Johnson School (LBSA)

 
Thursday, September 9th and Friday, September 10th. Talk and Brunch with Julia Alvarez! 
Julia Alvarez will be giving a reading/talk at Cornell Unversity
Lecture Talk: September 9, 2010 beginning at 4:30 pm, Hollis Cornell Auditorium, Goldwin Smith Hall.
Brunch: Friday morning, September 10, 2010, the Latino Studies Program is hosting a brunch with Julia from 8:30-10:00am in the LSP conference room on the 4th Floor of Rockefeller Hall. Please R.S.V.P to Polly at mjm38@cornell.edu or Marti mfd1@cornell.edu if you plan to attend.


Tuesday, September 14th. First LGSC General Meeting!
Time: 6:00-7:00 PM 
Place: Latino Studies Program (LSP) Conference Room, 434 Rockefeller Hall
FOOD& REFRESHMENTS will be provided!! Come meet your 2010-2011 board, get involved, or simply come to meet new people and find out about resources on campus and other events coming up.


Friday, September 17th. Cafe con Leché, Grad School 101
Time: 6:00-8:00 PM
Place: Latino Living Center, Main Lounge- 522 Thurston Ave.
 Graduate students from various disciplines within the "graduate school", the Law School and the Business School will share their experiences, challenges, and resources for applying to graduate school.


The floor will be open for questions from the audience and undergraduate students will have the opportunity to interact one-on-one with graduate students in the post-event reception.
